Fantails was once a private residence built
in the early 1900's. It has developed into a
unique tranquil source of accommodation
amongst native trees and an established fruit
and
vegetable garden. The garden is a major part
of the Fantails experience due to it being
recognised as organic and sustainable.
In addition
the trees are home to a variety of native
birds. This is how Fantails got it's name,
for Fantail birds are a constant visitor.
The complex was the winner of the 2009 Local
Business Sustainability Award and finalist
of the Branding & Image Building Category.

The
main house offers a B & B service for 3 elegant
rooms, there is also a guest lounge with a log fire,
sky television, comfortable chairs and a small
library of books and compact discs.
The
self contained cottages are warm and private set amongst
the 2 acres of garden.
Some of the special features of Fantails are the Massage Spa and
Infra Red Sauna facility and the Gift Gallery which
offers a wide selection of New Zealand goods. There
is also a boutique café/function room available for
hire.
Guests
are able to park inside the complex close to their accommodation
which provides additional
security.
There
is wireless internet services in all rooms and
cottages.

genuine hospitality plus she is a fantastic cook!
